Shalyma and Michael tie the knot.

On Saturday, the third of July 2010, Shaylma Cambridge, daughter of Arnold and Linda Cambridge, said her wedding vows with betrothed, Michael Asante, a son of Ghana. The ceremony was held in Immaculate Conception Church, Delta, BC. and conducted by Father Gary Franken.
The church interior was artfully lighted by the lengths of clear panels in the roof and the walls seemed to whisper… class, serenity and peace. The Goheen Trio playing the classics was just right and when they performed the Bach piece, ‘Air’, it showed how the taking of pains to get the finer details correct pays off in the presentation.
Entering the Riverside Palace reception hall in Richmond, you are amazed at the number of people there. Only at some of the premier BCABC’s banquets would you see this many well-dressed people at a Caribbean affair. DJ Earl da Pearl was the music maker and did an excellent job of balancing the Caribbean melodies with the African rhythms and the dancing needs of the young and hip with the familiar golden oldies of the seniors, sorry…more mature.
A wonderful wedding and reception enjoyed by all, and, from the members of the BCABC, we wish the happy couple all the best for the future.
